In this guide we'll show you how to interact with Rootnet to bridge XRP to The Root Network!

The Root Network represents a publicly accessible decentralized blockchain network that has been tailored to enhance Metaverse and game-fi applications. Serving as the fundamental blockchain framework within the Futureverse ecosystem, it has been meticulously crafted to offer a smooth and user-friendly onboarding process for individuals new to Web3.

The Root Network will be introduced in multiple phases:

• In Phase One, the Alpha launch will encompass all vital components of the protocol infrastructure, accompanied by a month-long period of vigorous testing, feedback collection, and fine-tuning.
• Moving on to Phase Two, the Beta launch will involve the complete deployment of their infrastructure, with the source code made available to the public. Throughout this stage, their partner applications will initiate the process of onboarding production applications and users onto The Root Network. Subsequently, The Root Network will continually evolve to meet the demands of the Futureverse platform, as well as the applications and experiences set to be introduced in the forthcoming months.
  
  

Step 1

First, we need to add The Root Network to MetaMask, to do this, you can either go to metaschool.so/rpc/theRootNetwork-Mainnet & click "Add to MetaMask", or you can enter the network manually using the following details:

• Network Name: The Root Network - Mainnet
• RPC URL: https://root.rootnet.live/archive
• Chain ID: 7668
• Currency Symbol: XRP

Step 2

Now let's bridge some XRP!

Go to app.rootnet.live/bridge, select "Connect Wallet" & connect your MetaMask wallet.




Step 3

Now we need to make sure the "From" is set to "XRPL Network", then we need to insert an amount of XRP we want to bridge to Root Network, and finally we just need to insert our MetaMask address which is where The Root Network has been added.

Finally we need to press "Generate Transaction", this will bring up a XUMM QR Code.

You don't have to use XUMM Wallet to make this transaction, you can use any XRP wallet that has QR Code functionality!

Step 4

Just scan the QR Code with your compatible XRP wallet & sign the transaction!

After some time you should see your XRP in your MetaMask wallet under "The Root Network"
