How To Interact With Abstract Testnet

Introduction

In this guide, we will explore the Abstract testnet & how to interact with it for a chance of a potential future airdrop.

What is Abstract Network?

Abstract is a Layer 2 network built on Ethereum that leverages zero-knowledge (ZK) rollup technology to support consumer-focused blockchain applications at scale, offering fast, low-cost transactions. Powered by the ZK Stack, Abstract executes transactions off-chain and batches them, using ZK proofs to verify these batches on Ethereum. EVM-compatible, Abstract provides the look and feel of Ethereum but with reduced gas fees and increased transaction speed, allowing most Ethereum smart contracts to be easily ported with minimal adjustments.

Step 1

First, let's claim some test ETH on Sepolia.

To do this, you can use one of the following faucets:

Google Cloud Faucet: cloud.google.com/application/web3/faucet/ethereum/sepolia

Chainlink Faucets: faucets.chain.link/sepolia

Step 2 (Optional)

Now head over to: abs.xyz & enter your email to join the waitlist and get updates on mainnet release etc.

Step 3

First, we just need to head over to the bridge: portal.testnet.abs.xyz/bridge & connect wallet.

Step 4

Now insert any amount of Sepolia ETH & hit "Continue".

Press "I understand, proceed to bridge."

Click "Bridge" and wait for transaction to complete.
