Introduction
In this guide, we will go through the steps required to participate in Automated Market Makers (AMMs) on the XRPL using the DexFi platform.
Step 1
First, we need to head over to DexFi & click the Login button.
Next, we're going to select "Connect Xaman", this will bring up a QR code which we'll need to scan using the Xaman Wallet app on our smartphone.
Step 2
Now that we're connected via Xaman, we can go ahead and click the Trade tab at the top and select Simple Swap.
Here we can swap some XRP for USD.
Insert any amount and hit Swap. (Remember to leave some XRP in your wallet as you'll need a little of both assets for the AMM).
Scan the QR code with your Xaman Wallet mobile app to submit & confirm the transaction.
Now we should have some USD tokens, as well as some XRP tokens in our Xaman wallet.
Step 3
Now we can select the Markets tab at the top and select Liquidity Pools.
You should now see a list of available pools. Since we swapped some XRP to USD, we are going to scroll down until we find the USD/XRP pool.
Click on it, and select Provide Liquidity.
This will bring us into the selected pool's interface where we can deposit and withdraw liquidity.
On the right side, you can see some boxes where we need to input how many tokens (USD & XRP) we want to deposit into the pool, for this guide, I will just select the 75% option for the USD box, this will automatically set the equivalent amount in XRP within the XRP box.
Now we can hit Deposit and scan the QR code with our Xaman Wallet app to submit & confirm the transaction.
Step 4
We can also remove our liquidity from the pool by selecting the Withdraw tab.
Just set the slider to the amount you want to remove (or use the percentage buttons) then click Withdraw.
It may ask you to set the trustline for USD first, click that, confirm by scanning the QR code with your Xaman wallet app. Then try the withdraw again.
