How To Interact With Seismic Devnet

Introduction

In this guide, we'll explore Seismic Devnet, covering how to receive test tokens, deploy a smart contract, and launch your own token on the network.

What is Seismic?

Seismic is an encrypted blockchain built to solve a core limitation of today’s major Layer 1s: forced transparency. While scalability has improved since Ethereum's launch, transactions on most chains remain publicly visible—limiting the types of applications blockchain can support. Seismic tackles this by enabling encryption at the base layer, allowing app-level data like exchange parameters and vault transfers to remain private. This unlocks entirely new kinds of apps—from personalized finance tools to social payment experiences. Seismic isn’t just a blockchain—it’s a foundation for mass encryption across the entire crypto ecosystem.
