Introduction

In this guide, we're going to take a look at Bitfinity Network as well as their wallet extension app. We'll also take a look at testnet interactions which could make us eligible for a potential future airdrop.


What is Bitfinity Network?

Bitfinity stands out as a high-speed (1000 TPS+), advanced Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) of the next generation, functioning as a Layer Two solution for Bitcoin and other on-chain assets related to Bitcoin. With Bitfinity, users gain the ability to deploy smart contracts for Bitcoin, Ordinals, and BRC-20, all coded in Solidity. Notably, Bitfinity is constructed on the Internet Computer.

In the realm of Ethereum, Layer 2 solutions are widespread, primarily relying on zero-knowledge cryptography or optimistic rollups to establish secure connections between the foundational layer-1 chain and the layer-2.

In contrast, Bitfinity employs a unique approach with a threshold cryptographic scheme known as Chain-Key to establish a secure and decentralized link between Bitfinity and the Bitcoin blockchain. The Chain-Key method is distinctive in that no single node possesses access to the threshold key. Instead, threshold key shares undergo periodic regeneration every 11 minutes through a process known as "moon-math."

Step 1

First, go to wallet.bitfinity.network & install the Bitfinity wallet extension.




Step 2

Create a new wallet using Bitfinity and make sure to write down your Seed Phrase.

Now we need to migrate our wallet to MetaMask, to do this, we need to insert our Bitfinity seed phrase into MetaMask.

You may need to remove the MetaMask extension, then re-install it to get the option to import using a seed phrase.






Step 3

Now let's go ahead and request some test tokens from the faucet: https://bitfinity.network/faucet

First, click "Mint Test Tokens" this will add the network to your MetaMask wallet, we then have to press the same button again to actually claim some of the BFT test tokens.

Now select the "Add token to wallet" button, this will add the "CSM" token to your wallet.

Finally, click the next "Mint Test Tokens" button, this will send some CSM tokens to your wallet.






Step 4

Next, we should try to interact with as many Dapps as possible.

Step 5

Now let's join the official Bitfinity Discord server, verify ourselves and go into the #grab-roles channel to get our roles.

Next, head over to the Galxe Campaign and complete as many tasks as possible.
