How To Mint The Build On Base Testnet NFT

Introduction

In this guide, I will show you how to mint the early adopter Build On Base NFT!

Base is a cutting-edge Ethereum Layer 2 (L2) blockchain that provides a secure, affordable, and user-friendly platform for building decentralized applications. Whether you're a seasoned blockchain developer or just getting started, Base is an excellent choice for building on-chain applications with confidence and ease.


Step 1

First, go to chainlist.org/chain/84531, connect your MetaMask wallet & select "Add to MetaMask".




Step 2

Then go to faucet.quicknode.com/base/goerli, insert your MetaMask wallet address & select "Continue".

If you want extra test tokens you can paste a tweet to twitter and copy the tweet url to get 0.05BASE instead of 0.02BASE.





Step 3

Now go to thirdweb.com/thirdweb.eth/DropERC721, connect your wallet & select "Deploy now".




Step 4

Insert any token name & symbol, then select "Deploy Now".





Step 5


Go to "Contracts" & copy down the contracts address as you will need it later on.




Step 6

Now go to quests.base.org, connect your wallet & hit "Start Quest".




Step 7

Continue through the steps until it asks for your contract address, this is where we paste our contract address we got from thirdweb (Your contract address will be different).




Step 8

Mint the NFT!




Step 9

You should also go to guild.xyz/buildonbase, connect your wallet, join the Guild & try to complete as many tasks as possible!
