Introduction

In this guide, we're going to take a look at LayerEdge and learn how to participate in their on-going incentivized testnet.


What is LayerEdge?

LayerEdge is a decentralized network that expands Bitcoin’s capabilities using Zero-Knowledge (ZK) proofs and BitVM. It transforms Bitcoin from a simple store of value into a decentralized supercomputer that verifies computations without executing them directly. By enabling verifiable off-chain execution secured by Bitcoin’s Proof-of-Work (PoW), LayerEdge reduces transaction costs while maintaining security.




Step 1

First, we need to head over to LayerEdge & connect wallet. For this guide I will be using MetaMask.





Step 2

Now we need to input an access code to enter to the dashboard, feel free to use our code: sX1E4fGR





Step 3

Now you should be in the Dashboard. Here we can see if our Lightnode is active, and how much node points we've earned.

To activate your node, press the "Start Node" button & confirm transaction with your wallet.

Now all you need to do is keep your browser open to earn points!





Step 4

Press the "Claim Reward" button to claim your first daily reward!
