Introduction
In this guide I will show you how to use XDC (XinFin Network) with Ledger Nano using MEW.
MyEtherWallet (MEW) is a free, open-source, client-side interface for generating Ethereum wallets & more. MEW supports additional Ethereum-compatible networks including Ethereum Classic (ETC), Binance Smart Chain (BNB), Polygon & XinFin Network (XDC), so that users can manage assets beyond the Ethereum mainnet.
Step 1
First, connect your Ledger Nano to your PC & open Ledger Live.
Install the XDC app onto your Ledger Nano device.
To do this, go to "My Ledger", then search the App Catalogue for "XDC Network" & press install.
Step 2
Once you have the XDC Network app installed, you should close Ledger Live, go to MyEtherWallet & select "Access my wallet".
Step 3
Now select "Hardware Wallets".
Step 4
Select "Ledger".
Click the dropdown & select "XDC.Network".
Click the second dropdown & select "XDC Network M/44'/550'/0'/0".
Then select "Connect via USB".
Step 5
First, scroll down & select "XDC".
Now scroll up & select one of the addresses.
Finally, scroll down one last time, select the checkbox & click "Access my wallet".
Step 6
You should now be in the MyEtherWallet Dashboard!
From here you can send/receive XDC & it will be associated with your Ledger, so if you want to send XDC out of this account you will require your Ledger Nano to be connected via USB.
If you receive an "Invalid Address" error when sending to another XDC address, it can potentially be fixed by changing the prefix of the destination address from xdc to 0x. ( Example: xdc93dky72... can be changed to 0x93dky72... )
