Introduction
In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to earn all the main Discord roles—and potentially secure an invite code to join the Anoma Testnet. You’ll also learn what to do once you’ve gained access to the testnet, so you can get started smoothly and make the most of the experience.
What is Anoma?
Anoma is a distributed operating system built for intent-centric applications, marking a leap in blockchain architecture. Instead of forcing users and developers to navigate fragmented chains and complex transactions, Anoma unifies all blockchains into a single, seamless environment.
At its core is the intent-centric model, which mirrors how we naturally interact with the world: through outcomes we want to achieve. Whether it’s swapping tokens, buying NFTs, or booking a flight, users can simply express their intent without worrying about the technical steps. Powering this is the Intent Machine (IM), which, like the Ethereum Virtual Machine processes transactions, processes intents into state changes across any underlying chain.
This approach not only simplifies Web3 but also unlocks a new class of decentralized applications that are intuitive, fully decentralized, and no longer constrained by the current fragmentation of blockchain ecosystems.
Step 1
First, join the Anoma Discord server and verify yourself, make sure to read the rules carefully and react with the correct emojis.
Then head into the #get-roles channel and select all 3 roles (Builder, Researcher & Intent Mage).
This will give you the required basic starter roles for the Anoma Discord.
Step 2
Next, head over to the Anoma Guild & connect your wallet, X (formerly Twitter) & Discord. This is where we can complete the Initiate quest which will grant you the Initiate Discord role.
There's also some social quests to complete here like Reposting content on X and Liking some posts etc.
Next, you should add the following tags to your X profile:
- Add to your X display name: Anomage ⛺ 🧙♂️,🧙♂️ 🧙♂️,🛠️
- Add to your X bio: (🧙♂️,🧙♂️) gnoma 🧙,⛺

Now if you go back to the roles section on the Guild, refresh the quests and you should earn the following roles:
- Member
- In-Tents
- Intent Leader
If you didn't earn all roles for Discord, just check over the Quests and Roles tasks to see what your missing. The Guild is your main workspace to begin with, and after gaining all roles we can focus on Discord.
Step 3
At this point you should have all required roles for Discord that'll allow you to message into more of the channels without restrictions, so now we need to grind for the Apprentice role.
To get Apprentice, we have to be an active member within the community by assisting other users and posting interesting information about Anoma on X (formerly Twitter) and sharing the links to the posts into the #anoma-yappers channel on Discord, this is the quickest way to get noticed and earn the role. If you set aside 1-2 hours a day to assist others then I think you will get Apprentice pretty quick.
With your current roles, you should now be able to chat in #general-chat and #initiation-lodge which will help speed up the process, but don't spam useless stuff, just help other users and try to talk about the project.
Also, every Wednesday they unlock the Contributions channel where you can link all your content for a chance to receive an instant rank up. I would recommend linking 2-3 pieces of your own content into the Contributions channel for a bigger chance to receive a role.
